Miley Cyrus caused a spark of controversy with a tattoo that reads ‘All Love is Equal’ last year.

Now, the 19-year-old actress is addressing what happened and her view on marriage equality on Glamour.com.

She writes, “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do—you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach.

“When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, “All LOVE is equal,” a lot of people mocked me—they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?”

Miley added at the end, “This is America, the nation of dreams. We’re so proud of that. And yet certain people are excluded. It’s just not right.”

Miley Cyrus compared to Elvis Presley is a little startling, but godmother Dolly Parton knows what she’s talking about. “She’s like a little Elvis!” Dolly says. “The kids love her because she’s Hannah Montana, but what people don’t realize about her is she is such a fantastic singer and songwriter,” gushes the country icon. “She writes songs like she’s 40 years old! She’s really deep. I’m amazed at the talent that child has and the effect she has on people.”

Miley Cyrus is aware of the effect she has on people, especially her younger fans. She takes her position as a role model (she’s still only nineteen, herself) “very seriously,” the singer/actress/songwriter shares. “That’s why I try so hard to relate to my fans,” she says in an interview, and The Boot reports.

Well, Miley Cyrus’s intentions may be good, but some of her recent actions throw a little doubt on that plan—remember the cigarettes and salvia, the “stoner” references, the lewd birthday cake? She even swore at a fan—a definite no-no. Do you think that fan will ever forgive her?

Dolly Parton isn’t troubled. “I remember myself at her age. We’ve all been a bit too hard on her. I hope she holds it together because there’s a world of things she can do. She should keep an eye on things and make wise decisions.” Okay, good luck with that, but Miley Cyrus may be turning her attitude around.

Her career is on the upswing with a return to her country roots, in a Bob Dylan cover, “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go,” on a 4-CD album honoring Dylan. Miley is a hit. Country on.

Billy Ray Cyrus will officially become a published author next year with the release of his memoir, Hillbilly Heart.

The book, to be published in the spring of 2013 by Amazon.com, will feature Cyrus discussing his life with “great candor,” the company said.

Cyrus, whose country singing career included the well-known hit “Achy Breaky Heart,” will delve into detail about his rise to fame as well as parenting teen superstar Miley Cyrus.

The young singer released her own memoir, Miles To Go, in 2009.

Ashley, Adrienn Zsobrák and Gergo Racz, two artists from Kaposvár, Hungary, have created something really amazing. They have drawn a massive sketch of Miley Cyrus. Today, MileyDaily.com got a message from Ashley, one of the two girls who created the massive sketch of Miley Cyrus, about the sketch. Probably, this sketch is the biggest one of Miley yet created.

MileyDaily.com had an exclusive talk with Ashley, one of the artists of the sketch and we got this info:

How large is the sketch?: 22604.21 Sq [Woah!]

Who were involved in this projects?: Kiss Bianca [Ashley], Adrienn Zsobrak, Gergo Racz

When did you begin the work?: December 2nd, 2011.

How long did it take to complete the drawing?: Three months.

Why did you choose Miley?: Even though Miley is kinda wild, she isn’t afraid to show who she really is. She’s honest and even though the others think that she’s out of control….I think she just gets something that the others don’t. This is our one life and we have to enjoy it on the way we’d like to.

What do you guys want to reach?:  [Our aim] is to enter into the Guinness record’s Book plus We want to show for the Young people that nothing’s ever out of reach. Me and 2 of my friends drew this.

Story behind it: So while I was in the USA I already drew a big Miley sketch and I gave ot for My uncle as a present and when I went home after 8 months my best friend called Adrienn Zsobrak told me that I should ask the drawing back. I was like…Why? I can do another one and also an even bigger one but before I said this Adri said exact the same thing. We were counting a lot we had to buy a lot of pencils plus Papers etc. We started the sketch on December 2th and then somebody called us. They wanted us to be in a TV Show on January13th. We showed a part of the Draw we had a lot of interviews they asked Why Miley What do You want to reach with this Draw etc.

Remember when pop starlet Miley Cyrus took to the stage to cover Nirvana’s groundbreaking single “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” and fans were up in arms over the rendition? Well, former Nirvana bass player Krist Novoselic is okay with it. Getting covered by the next generation is a compliment, right?

When asked by a Twitter follower what he thought of Cyrus’ now-famous rendition of the famed grunge-pop nugget, Novoselic replied, “Yes I approve of miley cyrus covering smells like teen spirit.” He followed that with a slight disclaimer that he only approved of the idea of Cyrus covering the track, since he hasn’t heard it yet: “… I need to hear the version itself, so I only approve of the concept. Bless you and the ground you walk on.” Say you’re like Novoselic and haven’t seen the clip yet? Watch it, below.

Looking back on 20 years of “Nevermind” — the 1991 album that features “Smells Like Teen Spirit” — Novoselic says he has a much better perspective about the release now than he did when Nirvana fever exploded in the early-‘90s. “Yes, 20 years since Nevermind! You know that the time from when the album was released and the tragic way the band ended seems like a decade in itself but it was actually two and a half years,” he told Gibson. “It was an intense time and a lot happened that it feels like the period is longer. Things were never the same after that and the subsequent time was more normal – whatever that means! Suffice it to say I have much better perspective after 20 years than I did after two.”
